To my Surprise.....

So Luke had planned a date for he and I on Saturday. I had no idea what we were going to. Other then tickets coming in the mail, I had no clue what we were going to do. So we set off Saturday at around 1:30. We hit up Taco Amigo on the way to Salt Lake. That is Luke's favorite taco place. Then venturing onto the freeway we were on our way. We drove around a little then decided to park at the Gateway to walk around and for the event since Abravenal Hall was right there, and that is where the event was taking place we would attend. We went to a few stores. We are kind of funny and don't go into most of them. I guess we just aren't the shoppers most people are. Then we set off to walk to find somewhere to go for dinner. We pry walked about 4 blocks and didn't see anything we wanted. Not many restaurants close to Temple Square. Then we walked back the 4 blocks and settled for Apple Bee's for dinner. Dinner was pretty good. I loved the Strawberry limeade. Then to PacSun (my favorite store), then off the Abravenal Hall. By this time Luke finally told me what even we would be attending. Video Games Live! All or none of you may know how much I love video games. Actually it is more the lack of love for video games. I didn't play them much growing up. I would rather watch someone play then actually do the playing. I feel like I am not very good and they are basically a waste of time. But I was optimistic about the event.
So we got seated and pretty soon the Utah Symphony Orchestra started setting up for the show. Wow... It was truly amazing. The music, lights, entertainment. I Loved it. And will pry go again if Luke gets tickets. It was a fun atmosphere. Even the Orchestra was really getting into it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!! I must say that I have a different outlook on video games. I still don't like that some people let them consume their lives, but I am willing to be more open about them for sure!
It was a great experience. I loved spending time with Luke for the day and the show was incredible! I would pry have been skeptical if I had known what we were going to, but I really had an amazing time!!

Glad you had a good time honey! Next time I'll plan better on dinner so we don't end up doing all that unnecessary walking!
Love you!

You should try Buca de Beppo next time you are in the area. It is my favorite Italian place up there. That sounds like a fun event though.

I think I ate there once a long time ago. Can't remember really. But I should definitely check it out again!
