A pretty house we walked passed on the way to the beach, with the full moon overhead.

So today, we arrived back at home! We had an amazing trip! We started out in St. George for a nice, but short visit with Korey, Janet, Kacey, and Kade. It was so fun to see them, we do not see them often enough! Then it was on to San Diego we enjoyed the week hanging out with Matt, Sue, and Patrick. We kept busy and had lots of fun. We all got lots of sun. We got to spend a little time with Rik and Hester, we hope they are well. We got to see our friend Bryan a little, but it sure was nice to see him! Then on our way home, we spent the night in St. George again. They were so sweet to let us crash to break up our driving! We need to plan a trip to St. George to visit those guys a little longer! Now we are home, busy, busy, busy! The Van sold this afternoon! Sad, but good! I liked that van a lot! Now we are just unpacking, laundry, etc... It was a great trip, but isn't always so nice to be back home!! Ahhh....

We went today to see some Tide Pools. Both Matt and I remembered going to see Tide Pools with Hester and Rik when we were little so we were excited to go and find some. Unfortunately Rik couldn't remember exactly where we used to go, and Hester said something about Ocean Beach. Rik said he remembered parking at the top of a cliff. When we looked it up Ocean Beach was mentioned and parking at the top of the cliff. However this route to this location has been closed due to the path down the cliffs detereoriating.
So we chose Dike Rock based on the description. Our first challenge was parking. After we found reasonable parking we zigged and zagged down the hill until we made our way to the beach. Then it was a walk north along the beach into the rocky area. We saw a few Star Fish, lots of hermit crabs and regular crabs.
What a great day!
